6th Hole (353 yards - par 4)

Favour the right hand half of the fairway for a view of the green. Club selection is vital on the second shot with out of bounds long and a pond short. Do not flirt with the pot bunkers either side at the front of the green. They have been known to ruin many a scorecard.

7th Hole (119 yards - par 3)

Do not take this short par 3 for granted. A sheltered tee blocks the wind so be sure to check it before teeing up. There is more room than you expect between the front bunker and the green, so make sure you take enough club.

8th Hole (356 yards - par 4)

This last par 4 can be extremely tough when the hole is cut on the top tier. Distance must be perfect if you are daring enough to take it on. If not the center of the green will leave you an uphill putt.

9th Hole (243 yards - par 3)

Harwich and Dovercourt is probably renowned for the toughest par 3 in the county if not the entire country, well here it is! Only the top of the flag is visible from the tee so be certain to find it before teeing off. A narrow entrance to a green surrounded by bunkers suggests that a lay up to the front of the green is the most sensible shot. This leaves a good chance of an up and down for your 3, which always feels like a birdie!
